The purpose of this Presidential Decree, consisting of 10 articles, is to adapt the Greek legislation to the provisions of Directive 2010/65/EU of the European Parliament and of the Council of 20 October 2010 (OJ L283/29.10.2010), which concerns the simplification and harmonization of administrative procedures apply to maritime transport, by standardizing the electronic transmission of information and rationalizing the reporting formalities. Article 4 establishes the Notification before arrival in ports, specifying that legal and international legal instruments applicable to maritime transport and binding on Greece, including provisions on the control of persons and goods, the master or other person authorized by the operator of the ship shall, before arriving in a Greek port, communicate the information required for the reporting formalities: (a) at least 24 hours in advance, or (b) at the latest when the ship departs from the previous port, if the journey time is less than 24 hours; or (c) if the port of arrival is unknown or modified during the voyage as soon as that information is available. Articles 5 and 6 deal with: Electronic transmission and Exchange of data.
