This Presidential Decree, taking into consideration provisions of article 3 paragraph 1 of the Law no. 1269 of 1982 ratifying the international Convention for the prevention of pollution from ships of 1973 and the Protocol of 1978 related to this Convention, in its last amended version, provides for accepting the amendment and the text concerning the revised Annex VI of the International Convention MARPOL 2021, which is included in the Annex to the Protocol of 1997 amending the International Convention for the Prevention of Pollution from Ships, 1973. This Presidential Decree provides for both the original English version and the Greek translation of the text of the amendment, stating that in case of difference, the English version prevails.
