The President decrees to transfer to the State Committee on Geology and Mineral Resources the following functions: (a) conduct of scientific research, regional geological survey works, geophysical and drilling with identification and preparation of oil and gas infrastructure for discovery of new deposits of hydrocarbons; (b) organization of work for advanced development and reproduction of the national hydrocarbon reserves, increasing efficiency and productivity of geological exploration aimed at ensuring discovery of new hydrocarbon deposits; (c) starting from 2020 annual state development programs and reproduction of the mineral resource base for oil and gas shall be developed and approved by the State Committee on Geology and Mineral Resources by agreement with the Ministry of Energy, the Ministry of Economy and Industry and the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Uzbekistan; and (d) within the framework of annual state programs for development and reproduction of mineral resource base for oil and gas, measures shall be taken to introduce international standards for the organization of geological exploration works with the involvement of leading foreign companies.
