This Regulation validates measures to develop ecotourism and improve the procedure for allocating land plots within the water protection zones of water reservoirs. Allotment of land plots within the water protection zones of reservoirs through an electronic auction for long-term lease for the organization of ecotourism is carried out in conformity with the scheme in accordance with Annex No. 1. The right to long-term lease of a land plot within the limits of water reservoir protection zones is put up for auction by the operator upon request of the authorized state body. The purpose of organizing ecotourism within water protection zones of water reservoirs is expanding the range of tourist services provided, stimulation of the national infrastructure. The tasks of developing ecotourism within the water protection zones of water reservoirs include: (a) development of tourist infrastructure, the technical base and the development of cooperation between the subjects of tourism activities within the water protection zones of water reservoirs, the promotion of the development of organizations of related industries - public catering, the entertainment industry, the production of souvenirs; (b) increasing the efficiency of information interaction and coordination of actions of business, scientific and educational organizations, local executive authorities and self-government bodies of citizens in the field of ecotourism development within the water protection zones of water reservoirs; (c) creation of favorable conditions for attracting investments in the development of ecotourism within the water protection zones of water reservoirs; (d) diversification of tourist services and creation of new types of tourist product; and (e) minimizing the negative consequences of an ecological and socio-cultural nature, maintaining the environmental sustainability of the environment and ensuring nature protection.
