These Regulations, which are composed by 7 Chapters, cover several aspects concerning veterinary medicinal products. After providing for definitions at Chapter 1, the Regulations sets provisions on the marketing of veterinary medicinal products at Chapter 2 and specifies which are the the cases for which no marketing authorization is required. This Chapter also regulates the code on primary packaging and outer packaging of veterinary medicines, the contents and form of the leaflet, the trade permit.
Chapter 3 sets up provisions for the retail sale of veterinary medicines and the use of veterinary medicines and antimicrobial veterinary medicines. It also regulates, among other things, the veterinary care and the farm health plan.
Chapter 4 concerns the fees foreseen for the maintenance of licences and registrations and those related to veterinary medicines intended for food-producing animals as well as those related to veterinary medicines intended for non-food-producing animals.
Chapter 5 includes, among other, provisions on notification of suspected adverse effects by veterinarian, designation of national reference laboratories, advertising of veterinary medicinal products etc.
Chapters 6 and 7 bring, respectively, amendments of other ministerial regulations and final provisions.
