1. Takes note of the report of the expert group on the assessment of the production and use of DDT and its alternatives for disease vector control; 2. Concludes that countries that are currently using DDT for disease vector control may need to continue such use until locally appropriate and cost-effective alternatives are available for sustainable transition away from DDT;
