The Circular gives guidelines for obtaining permission for commercial extraction of raw materials as provided by article 8 of the Mining Code Act. The authorization shall apply to extraction and processing of raw materials and the supply thereof. Application for permit of extraction shall be submitted to the Danish Coastal Authority, whereby extraction activities must only take place either on beach shores and other coastal areas, where there is no coherent land vegetation; within areas in adherence to beach protection provision of article 15 of Nature Conservation Act; and on the Jutland west coast land which lies 500 meters closer to the coastline measured at a daily maximum water level.
