These Measures are enacted in accordance with the relevant laws and regulations of the "Law of the People's Republic of China on Entry and Exit Animal and Plant Quarantine" and its implementing regulations, aiming to strengthen the administration of the isolation quarantine nursery gardens for entry plant propagation materials and prevent the introduction of dangerous plant pests into China. The Measures consist of 15 articles.
In accordance with the requirements of the Competent Entry and Exit Inspection and Quarantine Authorities, the isolation quarantine nursery gardens shall be responsible for the isolation and quarantine of the high and middle risk plant propagation materials entering the border, issuance of the isolation and quarantine results and reports, and the preservation and epidemic prevention of the plant propagation materials during isolation and quarantine. The Measures further provide for the procedures and rules for the application, examination and approval of qualified isolation quarantine nursery gardens, and requirements and rules to be followed for the isolation and quarantine work.
