This national beche-de-mer fishery management plan is made by the National Fisheries Authority. under Section 28 of the Fisheries Management Act 1998. It sets out national and provincial management arrangement for beche-de-mer and management measures regarding beche-de-mer. The objectives of the Plan include sustainable fisheries with minimal impact on the environment and protection of coastal communities, in particular of customary fishermen. The beche-de-mer fishery will be managed nationally
