These Regulations enforce Community legislation on the classification of carcasses of adult bovine animals or pigs. They provide for notifications to be made to the Scottish Ministers by operators of slaughterhouses which slaughter such animals and provide rules relative to, among other things, automatic grading and the keeping of records. They also concern enforcement of (community legislation), and makes provision relating to the powers of authorized officers.
