The Regulation prescribes the conformity criteria for propagating material and procedures of circulation of vine (Vitis L.). It however does not apply to material intended for utilisation for a consumer s personal needs; exportation (export) and kept separately from other material; for trials or scientific purposes; selection work; and the conservation of genetic diversity. Observance of the requirements of these Regulations, state supervision and control is performed by the State Plant Protection. According to the Regulation, growers and distributors of material must perform a regular quality control of the material and are liable for its conformity to the specified criteria. The Regulation also adopts rules on Organisms Harmful to Plants the Spread of which is not Permissible (Annex 1); Viruses, Virus-like Organisms and Harmful Organisms (Annex 2); Composition and Size of Bunches (Annex 3); and Information to be Specified on Label, Size and Colour of Label (Annex 4).
