These Regulations make provision with respect to the identification and registration of cattle in Scotland. They enforce Community legislation in this field.
The Regulations: specify animal tagging requirements; provide for notification to the Secretary of State of a holding if cattle are kept there; and make provision for registration of cattle, passports, notification of movement and death and for records to be kept in the form as specified in Schedule 4 to these Regulations. They also provide for enforcement and prescribe offences.
These Regulations make provision with respect to the identification and registration of cattle in Scotland. They enforce Community legislation in this field.
