This Decision authorizes Member States to provide for temporary derogations from articles 4(1) and 5(1) of Directive 2000/29/EC as regards the importation of soil contaminated by pesticides or persistent organic pollutants for decontamination purposes. The Annex lays down specific conditions applying to soil originating in third countries benefiting from the derogation.
