This Decision lays down specific protective measures to combat African swine fever in Latvia and prevent the spread of this animal disease in the European Union. In particular Latvia shall ensure that the protection and surveillance zones established in accordance with article 9 of Directive 2002/60/EC comprise at least the areas listed in the Annex to this Decision.
