This Regulation amends certain provisions of Regulation (EC) No. 2075/2005 laying down specific rules on official controls for Trichinella in meat. The amendments concern the sampling of carcases and import health requirements. Meat containing striated muscles of animal species that may be carriers of Trichinella may only be imported into the European Union if prior to export the examination for Trichinella has been performed in accordance with conditions equivalent in the third country where the animals were slaughtered.
