This Regulation lays down rules on the indication of the country of origin or place of provenance on the label of fresh, chilled and frozen meat of swine, meat of sheep or goats and meat of poultry. A traceability system must be ensured by Member States. Food business operators, at each stage of production and distribution of the meat, shall have in place and use an identification and registration system.
