These Regulation make provision, in relation to Wales, for the implementation of the European Regulations (as defined in regulation 2(1)) relating to the administration of the Common Agricultural Policy of the European Union. They, among other things: provide for the control and enforcement in relation to payments granted directly to farmers under the Direct Payments Regulation and rural development payments; prescribe the minimum size of agricultural parcel in respect of which a single application may be made; set out further requirements on beneficiaries of direct payments and certain rural development payments relating to the maintenance of standards for good agricultural and environmental condition as prescribed by Schedule 1. Schedule 1 sets out the standards for good agricultural and environmental condition.
