The present Directive amends and supplements Directive 91/630/EC establishing standards for the protection of pigs. Article 3 shall be replaced by the text laid down in article 1 (1) of this Directive. The new provision sets forth the requirements to be met by holdings and flooring surfaces and lays down further rules regarding the keeping of pigs. Article 5a shall be inserted after article 5.
