The 29th Session of the Standing Committee of the Eleventh National People's Congress of the People's Republic of China decided to amend Article 56 of the Law on Protection of Minors of the People's Republic of China. Article 56 provides that when interrogating minor criminal suspects, or questioning minor witnesses or victims, the legal agents or other personnel of minors should be present in accordance with the provisions of the criminal procedure law.
