This Decree of the Ministry of Agriculture is composed of 16 articles and five Annexes. It sets out detailed rules governing marking of sheep and goats, which must be performed within 24 hours from the birth of the animals. Each specimen must be marked with: two plastic ear marks with a single digit; one plastic each mark with electronic identifier; one plastic ear mark for sheep or goats up to 12 months old for animals for slaughter within the Slovak Republic.
