The present Directive has been adopted in implementation of Directive 2002/66/EC which has modified certain Community Directives relating to the fixing of maximum levels for pesticide residues in and on certain foodstuffs. Firstly, article 1 of the Decree defines the application scope. The Decree establishes maximum residue levels (MRLs) for active substances of phytosanitary products in and on: (a) the plant products, including fruit and vegetables, referred to in Part A of Annex 1 to Decree of 19 May 2000; (b) the cereals specified in Part B of Annex 1 to Decree of 19 May 2000; (c) other plant products, as defined in Part C of Annex 1 to Decree of 19 May 2000; (d) the products of animal origin listed out in Part D of Annex 1 to Decree of 19 May 2000. The MRLs are fixed in Annex 1 to this Decree, which amends Annex 2 to Decree of 19 May 2000. As regards products of animal origin, the MRLs to be applied are those laid down in Annex 2 hereto, which amends Annex 3 to Decree of 19 May 2000.
