This Decree establishes the National Forestry Service. The Service acts in matters of forestry, forest resources protection and primary timber processing on behalf of the State. It is an autonomous budgetary institution under the direction and supervision of the Minister. The Service has territorial branch offices. Territorial competencies of the branch offices are set out in the Annex.
