These Regulations carry into effect in Ireland provisions of Regulation (EC) No. 2160/2003 of the European Parliament and of the Council and Commission Regulation (EC) No. 646/2007 on the control of salmonella in broilers. They require the testing of such flocks and provide for the approval of laboratories to conduct tests.
