These Regulations amend the European Communities (Food Additives other than Colours and Sweeteners) Regulations 2004 so as to implement in Ireland Directive 2003/114/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council, which amends Directive 95/2/EC on food additives other than colours and sweeteners. The Regulations, among other things, redefine “stabiliser”, redefine criteria for the permissibility of the presence of a food additive in food and prescribe that the level of additives in flavourings
