The present Ordinance implements the Directive 2006/44/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council of 6 September 2006 on the quality of fresh waters needing protection or improvement in order to support fish life and the Directive 2006/113/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council of 12 December 2006 on the quality required of shellfish waters. The Ordinance applies to the quality of fresh waters or parts of waters in need of protection or improvement listed in Annex 1 to conserve fish life. Moreover, the Ordinance applies to coastal and brackish waters listed in Annex 2 and 6 in need of protection and improvement to secure the quality of shellfish waters. The text consists of 7 articles.
