This Government Decree implements Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) No. 208/2013 on traceability requirements for sprouts and seeds intended for the production of sprouts, Commission Regulation (EU) No. 210/2013 on the approval of establishments producing sprouts pursuant to Regulation (EC) No. 852/2004 of the European Parliament and of the Council and Commission Regulation (EU) No. 211/2013 on certification requirements for imports into the Union of sprouts and seeds intended for the production of sprouts. These requirements establishes the rules for traceability of sprouts and seeds intended for the production of sprouts. They are not applicable to sprouts that have been processed to eliminate microbiological risks. Imported seed lots intended for the production of sprouts and sprout lots must be accompanied by quality certificate. Accompanying certificate for sprouts and seeds must attest that: (a) sprouts or seeds were produced under conditions that respect the general food hygiene requirements, and are not genetically modified; (b) sprouts were obtained under conditions that meet the requirements for traceability established in paragraphs 10-13; (c) sprouts were obtained at enterprises that meet the requirements and comply with the microbiological criteria.
