These Regulations prohibit fishing for, transhipment of or having on board of herring by a boat entered in the Register of Fishing Boats ("Irish sea-fishing boats") in ICES sub-areas VIa North, VIa South and VIIbc with effect from 18 March 2005. The Regulations also make provision with respect to prima facie evidence in prosecution of offences committed under these Regulations.
