These Regulations provide for the execution and enforcement of Community legislation on official controls to ensure the verification of compliance with feed and food law and official controls on imports of certain feed and food of non-animal origin. They provide, among other things, that a person who contravenes or fails to comply with specified provisions of EU legislation concerning the import of certain types of feed and food of non-animal origin is guilty of an offence and designate competent authorities.
