The Order sets regulations concerning the addition of vitamins and minerals to food. The purpose of such activities ensures that specification requirements for the identity and purity of all nutrients (listed in Appendix 1) added to food are applied.
The Order consists of 4 Chapters and 3 Appendices: Scope and definitions (1); Addition of vitamins and/or minerals to food (2); Requirements for the specifications of identity and purity of all nutrients added (3); Administration, penalties and entry into force (4).
Appendix 1 - General authorizations.
Appendix 2 - Specifications for identity and purity and analytical methods.
Appendix 3 - Information required for review and application for approval.
