The Order sets regulations with regard to the grant of financial support given to stimulate innovation in aquaculture, studies, experiments and pilot projects in this sector. The Ministry of Environment and Food shall, through The Danish AgriFish Agency, regulate and grant subsidies for projects for the development of technical, scientific, or organizational knowledge in aquaculture production, in particular the reduction of environmental impact and to promote sustainable use of resources in aquaculture, to improve animal welfare and facilitate new sustainable production methods. The Order includes the support in producing new aquaculture species which have good market potential, and new or significantly improved products and processes for their management.
