This Order sets regulations with regard to the labelling and advertising of foodstuffs on sale within the European Community (articles 3-4, 10-15 apply only for food marketed in Denmark). Regulations shall complement and implement EU rules. Labelling criteria applies to all foodstuffs and food products, and must indicate precise ingredients contained in foodstuffs, beverages, fruit and vegetables, etc. for human consumption. Regulations in this document may be waived if the food is intended for sale within the EU and is labelled in adherence to regulations in force in the related country.
This Order consists of 11 Chapters: Scope (1); Definitions (2); Marking language (3); Additional provisions for the labeling of prepackaged foods (4); Labeling of foods treated with ionizing radiation (5); Marking of non-prepacked food, food sold at the request of the consumer and food packed for direct sale (6); Lot number (7); Labelling of wholesale packages of frozen food (8); Marking of extraction agents (9); Labelling of fishery and aquaculture products (10); Penalties and entry into force (11).
