The Order aims to subsidy for conversion to organic aquaculture production and to animal welfare/health measures to promote environmentally and economically sustainable aquaculture production. The Danish Environment Agency grants funding for projects related to these activities and is responsible for the adherence of application criteria for funding as well as monitoring the correct implementation of these activities.
