The Order establishes regulations for the establishment of municipal solar power plants, and the exemption therewith from the requirements specified in article 4, section 1 of the Electricity Supply Act - which requires local electricity to be supplied by a limited liability company. A municipality can produce electricity from solar PV without fulfilling the requirement of corporate unbundling of the facility if the system is connected to the grid by 28 June 2013. Energinet.dk will provide for energy supply within a pool of 20 MW installed capacity and within the commitments provided for an exemption from the requirement of corporate unbundling of municipally owned solar PV.
