This Order applies to Danish commercial fishing carried out by Danish vessels. It sets regulations concerning fishing methods and periods/season as described in Appendix 1. The purpose of this Order is to regulate fishing by acoustic devices, which is permitted when the maximum distance of yarn between two acoustic alarms exceeds 455 meters. This also applies for incidental catches of cetaceans. Vessels measuring more than 12 meters of length, may not apply fishing methods listed in Appendix 1, unless they also apply acoustic fishing.
