The Order sets regulations concerning fire-estinguishing systems, and the protection of spaces around such systems. It applies to safety systems on fishing vessels, ships adhering to criteria requirements of Fire Safety Systems Code . The installations shall be provided with control valves and spaced in order to allow independent ventilation systems (not separated by walls), among other security allocations. For cargo spaces, the quantity of CO2 available, unless otherwise provided, shall be sufficient to give a minimum volume of free CO2 - equivalent to 30% of the gross volume of the largest cargo holds of the vessel to protect. This Order also applies to Maritime Safety Law currently into force for Greenland.
This Order consists of 5 Chapters: Scope (1); General requirements (2); Low pressure systems (3); Penalties, measures, and entry into force (4).
