The Order sets regulations on the production of organic food which quality shall comply with standards authorized by the Danish AgriFish Agency. Production of organic commodities shall take place min. 6 months after approval. Identification of these commodities shall be registered and specific conditions are laid out for food of animal origin. The latter's living conditions shall adhere to the Order's requirements related to animal production and health. Import of organic food from developing countries shall be subject to thorough inspection prior to sale in Denmark.
The Order consists of III Sections: Agricultural holdings (I); Comapnies (II); Common provisions(III).
