The Order sets regulations concerning the grant of subsidy for the investment in establishing sustainable housing facilities for farrowing pens. The Danish AgriFish Agency may, within the allocated funding framework grant subsidy for projects related to the conversion of these housings or buildings. Approval of subsidy grants shall be given to farmers primarily working on agricultural holdings consisting of at least 830 working hours. Calculation hourly rates are listed in Appendix 1. The Agency shall publish conditions for applying for grants online and applications should be submitted between from 18 August and received by the Agency no later than 15 September 2014. Criteria for granting subsidy is based on the approval from public authorities and for an eligibility of min. 300 000 DKK. The farrowing pens in the housing unit must be of 5-10 square meters, with a stable system expandable to a maximum of 1 500 cubic meters. The project should be accessible for supervisory and inspection purposes by the authorities. Additionally, eligible project costs may include costs for equipment associated with the rebuilding or new construction; and for architectural, engineering and other professional services fees implemented during the project. It is NOT permitted to grant subsidies to projects receiving other EU funding, for the purchase or leasing of equipment, and for expenditures in adherence to article 69 of Council Regulation No. 1303/2013.
