This Order addresses the requirements for registration in CHR - Ministry of Food, Agriculture and Fisheries Central Livestock Register - for livestock such as herds of cattle (Genus Bos, Bison and Bubalus), swine, sheep, goats, poultry, deer, fox, polecat, finn-racoon, chinchilla or mink, and aquatic species. The CHR registration ensures geographic and ownership provenience and identification of animals' data as well as for reference of animal production, health and trade purposes. It adheres to article 18 of European Parliament and Council Regulation (EC) No 1069/2009 laying down health rules concerning animal by-products and derived products not intended for human consumption.
