The present Ordinance implements the Swiss Federal Animal Disease Act of 1 July 1966. In particular, article 1 establishes that the entire area of the Principality of Liechtenstein shall constitute a Bee Inspection District. The nomination of the Bee Inspector and his Deputy shall be made by the government. The Bee Inspector shall perform within the frame of the Food Control and Veterinary Office the control of bee diseases.
