The present Ordinance implements the Water Protection Act of 4 June 1957. In particular, the Ordinance lays down provisions relating to the technical structure and measuring of waste water facilities. Article 1 establishes that the local drainage system shall be designed in such a way that possibly all waste water shall be discharged in the cleaning unit. Through appropriate structural and operational measures in the sewerage system, it shall be prevented that the waters shall be contaminated by pollutants. The text consists of 31 articles divided into 7 Parts as follows: General provisions (I); Waste water treatment facilities (II); Drainage systems (III); Waster water accumulation (IV); Rain water tanks (V); Waste water treatment plants (VI); Entry into force (VII).
