This Act regulates the relations which arise in connection with the legal protection of patentable inventions in the Republic of Estonia. Patent protection is provided for by this Act, other Acts and regulations issued by the Government of the Republic or ministers on the basis of and for the implementation of such Acts. The rights and obligations prescribed in this Act apply equally to natural and legal persons of the Republic of Estonia and of foreign states unless the legislation of the Republic of Estonia or international agreements ratified by the Riigikogu provide otherwise.
This Act regulates the relations which arise in connection with the legal protection of patentable inventions in the Republic of Estonia. An invention is granted patent protection upon registration of the invention in the register of patents.
