This Order amends the Plant Health (Great Britain) Order 1993 so as to implement in England specified Community legislation. The principal changes introduced by this Order are: (a) additions to the list of quarantine plant pests; (b) restriction of the quarantine provisions on specified pests; (c) extension of plant passport and phytosanitary certificate requirements for certain plants or plant products in respect of specified pests; (g) removal of areas from Protected Zones for specified pests; (d) inclusion of the definition of relevant International Standards for Phytosanitary Measures and details of their availability.
