These Regulations prescribe, for England, fees to be paid to the Secretary of State for specified inspections and other operations carried out pursuant to Council Directive 2000/29/EC on protective measures against the introduction into the Community of organisms harmful to plants or plant products and against their spread within the Community. Fees are to be paid for documentary, identity and plant health checks in relation to certain imports of plants, plant products and other objects from third countries such as certification of seed potatoes, plant health licences and plant passport authorisations.
