This Regulation, consisting of five Sections, establishes the Quality Inspection of Goods. It specifies standards marks, determined to certify the quality of products and goods that have met prescribed standards and to encourage the high quality products and to ensure the benefit for the Manufacturer as well as the Consumer. This standards marks are used for products and goods which have been declared satisfying National standards. It also deals with mandatory standards that are specific criteria related to security, safety, hygiene, health and environment or standard for products and goods under the Government s strategies determined at each period. Voluntary standard is a standard criteria formulated by manufacturer in order to ensure the quality of a product and goods through advisory and it is recognized by the standards management body. The Regulation is divided as follows: Standard Mark (I); Permission on the Use of Standard Mark (II); Using of Standard Mark (III); Awards and Measures against Offenders on Standard Mark Certification (IV); Implementation (V).

Based on the following: Prime Minister s Decree No. 85/PM, dated 02 November 1995 on Management of Products and Goods; Need of the use standards mark to identify that a product and goods or any service has been inspected quality and met standard; Necessary to revise some articles of the regulation for standard mark of products and goods No. 1035/STEA-PMO, dated 11/06/2002 was no longer suitable at present situation.This Regulation amends Regulation No. 1035/STEA-PMO, dated 11/06/2002. All rules and regulations previously published and in conflict with this Regulation are hereby repealed.
