These Regulations implement in Wales the provisions of Council Directive 2007/10/EC and Council Directive 92/119/EEC introducing general Community measures for the control of certain animal diseases and specific measures relating to swine vesicular disease in so far as that Directive controls swine vesicular disease. The Regulations provide for, among other things: the obligation of notification suspicion of swine vesicular disease, measures in respect of premises where swine vesicular disease is suspected or confirmed, and vaccination.
