This Order amends the Tuberculosis (Scotland) Order 2007 so as to provide for the examination of bovine animals by approved veterinary surgeons (as defined by this Order). It inserts article 2A which enables the Scottish Ministers to approve veterinary surgeons to carry out diagnostic tests for tuberculosis. It also inserts a new article (11A) on the restriction on movement bovine animals and on the handling of milk in case of positive or inconclusive test results of a diagnostic test for tuberculosis. The provisions restricting movement of bovine animals and requiring the isolation of reactors and inconclusive reactors remain in force until a veterinary inspector serves a notice amending or withdrawing those restrictions and requirements. Other provision concern, among other things, powers of inspectors and approved veterinary surgeons and marking of bovine animals kept on any premises.
