This Order varies Schedules A1 and 1A to the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981. Schedules A1 and 1A list birds protected under section 1 of that Act. The Schedules are amended by adding a specific bird to the list of protected birds. It shall be an offence for any person to intentionally or recklessly to harass any wild bird respectively to take, damage, destroy or otherwise interfere with any nest habitually used by any wild bird included in the respective Schedule.
