The present Ordinance implements the Federal Wine Act in the version of 18 January 2011 and the Wine Ordinance in its version of 21 April 2009. The text deals with the following issues: certain wine growing areas, management of the production potential, admitted wine sorts, admitted vintage, disposal of surplus harvest of grapes, production of quality wine, regional wine, registration of geographical denomination in the Wine Registry, levying of tax for the German Wine Fund, notification concerning wine growing areas, quantities of harvest and stocks, notification on oenological control proceedings, accompanying papers, penalties and entry into force. The text consists of 21 articles and 8 Annexes.
