Pre-sessional documents prepared either by Parties, observers or the secretariat for information purposes are known as INF documents. For instance, UNEP/ CHW.6/INF/10 is a submission by Canada to the COP 6 of the Basel Convention providing comments on the “Analysis of issues related to Annex VII”. However, comments received from Parties and circulated without any formal editing may be classified as miscellaneous documents with the identifier MISC.
