The Cabinet of Ministers decrees that in order to cover the costs of water supply by water consumers by gradually adding them to the amount of tax rates for the use of water resources. The Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Economic Development and Poverty Reduction, the Ministry of Investment and Foreign Trade together with water management organizations must equip water abstraction points in reservoirs and irrigation systems with water metering devices. The Inspectorate for Control over the Agro-Industrial Complex under the Cabinet of Ministers should establish systematic monitoring of water intake facilities with water metering devices, conduct targeted inspections and report to the Cabinet of Ministers on a quarterly basis. Decree No. 82 of the Cabinet of Ministers validating the Regulation on water uses and water abstraction shall be amended to add the following wording: (a) item 47 shall be supplemented with the paragraph of the following content: Water abstraction points shall be equipped with water metering devices (except for residential land areas) ; and (b) item 55 shall be supplemented with the paragraph of the following content: All special water users and special water consumers in accordance with the procedure approved by the Ministry of Water Resources of the Republic of Uzbekistan, and, in case of withdrawal of water from the communal water supply system, - in accordance with the procedure established by the Ministry of Housing and Communal Services, keep a report, as well as submit a separate report on the amount of water abstracted from surface and underground sources to the relevant water supply organization (user water management organizations or water users' associations) for the purpose of calculating the amount of tax for the use of water resources.
